Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

He who once called himself the Dragon's Shadow and reveled in the glory of his power now calls himself the Shadow of All Things, and crawls in the bitter vitriol of long-ago, ultimate failure. Ebon Dragon is a wicked, pathetic coward, who can't stop picking at Unconquered Sun and all she represents, but also can't seem to stop sabotaging his own plans. With no concept of honor, no understanding of honesty, no admiration for bravery or anything else, he snivels and connives constantly. He hates the Light, but fears he's not strong enough to bring it down, once and for all. Instead, he focuses all his efforts on making its champions fail, his greatest pleasure being not in winning, but in seeing his enemies lose. Still, the back that has most often felt the Ebon Dragon's talons is that of the Ebon Dragon himself.
