Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Aclif might have been born blind, but that didn't stop him from joining Starwander Weyr. A special spell compensates (mostly) for his lack of sight and has the side effect of making him better able to spot problems with the engines that keep the traveling weyr moving. Aclif is known for his creativity, skill, and willingness to at least attempt the impossible, and these (plus his dedication) are what caught Dupaild's eye and landed Aclif a prestigious job at Starwander. He's not without his flaws, though, especially where the opposite sex is concerned, and it's generally his fault when the relationships don't work out. Over the years, Aclif has developed a particularly close friendship with Dasoong, helping the gold tinsel learn about emotions.
