Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Vampyyri is considered respectable and wise by the Vampires as old as he, and a closed-minded old coot by Vampires much younger. He sees no reason to abstain from taking dragon blood by force—it's more rejuvenating than any substitute, and by all rights it was done in his day, so that's how it's going to be. Occasionally he'll pop by the blood bank to see if there is any to spare for an old dragon like him, but the preserved blood just doesn't taste as good. He is often the target of abuse by younger Vampires who believe their kind should abstain from forcibly drinking, or drinking dragon blood altogether; but he shrugs this off with nary a thought. Of course, he was sired directly from the line of Aeironn, so his love of tradition should hardly come as a surprise.
