As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

A kind, caring dragon, Lagei is loved by all in her clan. The other dragons of the clan look up to her, the hatchlings want to be her. But she rarely has the time to be with all of her friends at once, as she is constantly in the "kitchen," which is really just a pit lined with stones for a fire. Other dragons are content to hunt, but Lagei's favorite pastime is baking; everything from delicious pasta to brownies. Especially brownies. Lagei's brownies are quite famous, and many would pay pounds of gold just to have a bite. But she declines the offers, instead giving them away; as a sign of gratitude, a job well done, or sometimes just because.
