Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Stilton Cheesewright is an extremely large cheese dragon. Convinced of his own superiority, he swaggers around trying to intimidate other dragons. As he's not only smaller than most dragons (he's only large for his breed) but also extremely edible, his arrogance usually results in hasty repair work by the nearest magi, which causes Stilton's temper to deteriorate even further. Even pygmy dragons find Stilton more amusing than threatening, to his disgust.
