Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Fatalist is a brilliant golden dragon born to two proud caveborn parents. Despite his tough scales and features, he is actually a very loving dragon. His charms are adored by many, and he is dedicated to his mate, Xorath the Black Dragon. He tries to engage in helpful and kind deeds, such as helping Xorath hunt at night. Unfortunately, this is a bit problematic, as he is just too bright and shiny to lurk successfully in the dark.
