Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Dun Eat Meh, affectionately known as Dem, is named for the first words he mind speaks upon meeting anyone. Dem suffers from Phagophobia. He is constantly explaining to everyone that Phagophobia means he fears being eaten. He also has a fear of mice, namely because they like to eat cheese. Dem doesn't understand why the only other cheese dragon in the cave, Lil' Toe Cheese, isn't afraid of being eaten.
