There's more to the riddle of bringing about complete dominion over earth but given the limited storage of information the Space Chickens have it was decided that some few would carry crucial bits to the descent below.
Release the Rooster is such an agent and she is rather paranoid of forgetting that honor given there's so many distractions. Worms and feed and temperate days were never conditions she'd had to train for, among other things. There also hadn't been enemies bent on exposing the secret and she lives in a state of constant wariness; battling with begrudging respect for Cheek and Fowl while considering how best to discredit her. It would be much easier if she didn't actually like the foulmouthed disruptive chicken but their rivalry serves to sharpen skills so there's no reason not to continue association.
Release the Rooster is one of the passcodes of the secret weapon which will signify the Omega of All Days and the Reign of Cluck, and that is the end to which she waits.
