Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Deep within a forest of ancient glades and rolling hills, a determined explorer may come across a series of old catacombs, nestled away within a clearing. The glint of gold at the entrance is all the encouragement they need to continue, eagerly making their way inside--and never coming out again. For deep within the dead-filled maze a most powerful dragon has made her home, the fiery gleam of her scales the last thing the unwitting adventurers see before they meet their deaths. But, even more strange, the dragon does not eat her kills; rather they are neatly filed away in empty sepulchers, sorted away with all the rest before the female returns to the deepest part of her lair, awaiting the next intruder.
