Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male Silvers hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Salka came to the clan as part of a delegation sent by another caretaker to honour the anniversary of the birth of Herk, long lost in the mists of the past. Like the other hatchlings arriving that day he found himself welcomed by the resident dragons and assimilated into the clan.

Salka always dreamed about becoming the star of his new clan once he would arrive, being pampered and looked after. It was quite a shock for him to learn, that while he was treated with love and respect by the caretaker, he wasn't treated any different from the other dragons of the clan. It took him quite some time to adjust to a situation, where he had to pull his own weight and wasn't treated as royalty. But his mate Surge reminds him regularly that things could have turned out far worse.
