Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Superb was sent to Flurp's cave as an diplomatic envoy from the Strangler. She has an enviable lineage, with multiple metallic elements and a beautiful symmetry, and the Strangler hoped that she could quell the disarray and the inter-metal disputes in the tinsel ranks. She was so successful that Flurp asked that she could be allowed to remain as a permanent Tinsel Equality Ambassador. The Strangler generously agreed, and Superb has now extended her activities to include the equally fractious Shimmerscales. She is a brilliant diplomat, and there have been very few incidents in the Prize Ranks since she arrived.

The other dragons in the cave have asked that she be given a special award, but she won't hear of it, as she says prize is at the root of all evil, and another kind of prize would only make it worse.
