Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Taraghlan is a royal blue dragon. He is a descendant of Aurelia the gold dragon and Traghan the silver dragon.

He is named after his father, Taraghlan the silver dragon.

At his birth, his owner abandoned him, but he survived.

He did not know the truth of his beginning until the day he grew up.

The fact he was abandoned by his own family has driven him into solitude.

He wandered the high peaks of the Valdemar seeking the answer of salvation, but his wandering ended when a dark green dragon Greenvine enlightened him with a word "With a love of humanity and hatred of sins."

At his naming ceremony, he took his father's name and the vow of chastity with exclusive surname 'Anatema' as evidence of his family's sin.

After him, all the other dragons in this scroll with desegregated bloodline took the same oath as well.
