Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Zarah is highly regarded by members of the Moonsilver Artists' Association for her wonderful dark and warm voice. Yet she has never joined that prestigious group for two reasons. The first being that her own interest lies at least as much in acting as it lies in singing, so the MAA would have felt like she was putting too much focus on just one of her passions. The second reason being that several members of the MAA are very distrustful of her. Zarah has in the past used her talents to entertain dragons of very questionable morals and she never was ashamed of her association with such an audience. A fact that many of the more politically minded MAA members simply can't overlook.
