Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Living in the thick forests of the far north, this female has always been fascinated by one particular feature of her homeland's nights--the auroras. Making her home atop a high mountain ridge that provides both the good hunting of the woodlands and a clear view of the evening skies, she can often be seen taking wing as dusk falls, moving in an elaborate aerial dance with the ribbons of light above her.
