Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Jas'Minqu Neranoiryu is the oldest and the most respected dragon in the Moonlight Dragon Clan. She has seen many dragons come and go and has witnessed all of the migrations the clan has made to find a better place to call home. Even though old wounds and old age have made the black dragon cranky and a masterful complainer, any clan members that come into conflict seek out her advice and wisdom to resolve their grievances with one another.

Often, Cale'Rergu Aurilafryu is forced to endure Jas'Minqu's rants, though he doesn't seem to mind too much as long as he isn't the subject of these tirades. Despite her tendency to gripe, she displays great tenderness and love for the clans hatchlings and plays a grandmotherly role to all of them. Though she herself is respected by nearly all of the dragons in her clan, Jas'Minqu holds great respect for Sup'Riaryn Praerzyryu for protecting the clans home cave and esteems the Guardian of Nature far more than herself.
