Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

This Solstice dragon is rather odd. She has taken a number as her name, for reasons of her own. 89671 doesn't seem to understand the difference between letters and numbers, claiming that "They're all just symbols, after all." When other dragons ask how they are supposed to pronounce her name, she replies: "But that's just silly! You don't pronounce it at all. Nothing is really pronounced in telepathy. Just think of it as a concept—as the image you have of me." (It can sometimes be difficult to communicate with 89671, as she tends to telepathically speak in both pictures and words, claiming words are only incomplete representations of meanings.)

A curious dragon once asked her why she chose those specific numbers for her name. 89671 laughed. "I like their colors," she explained. "89 is the color of holly leaves against black velvet. 67 is the exact shade of my mother's wings, and 1—ah, 1 is the best color of all: the color of clean, bright snow."
