Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Emanon's father was a handsome gold dragon and when she was young she always thought that one day she would shed her stony exterior to reveal beautiful golden scales. She would check her reflection in the pond each morning, looking for any glimmer of gold. Sometimes she tried rubbing against trees and boulders but her rock hard scales only grew stronger and rougher. When she was finally old enough to accept that she was a stone dragon, and always would be a stone dragon, she cried and cried, thinking herself an ugly monster. She was devastated. Then she met Goldn Zuan, a young male gold dragon who saw the beauty in Emanon's rough exterior. She was shocked at first that anyone would find her attractive, especially a gold, but she soon overcame her shyness and they became great friends. It wasn't long before Emanon was laughing at herself for ever wanting to be anything but a stone dragon.
