Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Little Hunter is an apprentice hunter that follows the Harvest dragon Hunter around. Part of the clan, Little Hunter still chooses to live his life following Hunter around. Due to his great respect and hero worship of Hunter, Little Hunter pretends to act grumpy and curmudgeonly like his elder, but he fails and instead looks adorable any time he tries.
