Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Silver females eat meat only when a male dragon brings it to them as part of courtship, though they are typically highly-independent. They possess an almost magical aura that lights up any place they are in, and are looked upon with awe by humans and animals alike.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

"Gather around hatchlings, and I will tell you the tale of the fallen Silverhigh," Silver said as she entered the hatchling cave.

Silver was different than most female dragons. She hunted for her own food, and even went with the hunting party. Bringing enough for everyone was tough work. Although, she wasn't the only female hunter.

"Silverhigh was an empire run by dragons that took over many human kingdoms and used some humans as their slaves. The story was passed down to me, and I became named after it," she explained to the hatchlings. Their eyes grew wide with interest.

Silver took turns with Alternattiva watching the hatchlings. Alternattiva had just gone with Pika to get supplies.

"The dragons became too comfortable around the humans who were tired of the dragon's tyrant over them. Many were killed, and few escaped and went into hiding," Silver finished.
