Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The first dragon to be adopted by Nox, Azure Lazurite was found in the abandoned cave. Protective, silent, and mysterious, Azure enjoys looking after his brood-mates and takes his title of "older brother" very seriously. Although he doesn't show it, Azure has a prideful streak and likes showing off just how fast he can really fly.

Because Azure was abandoned, he has a special fondness for the dragons that Nox brings in from the abandoned cave. Around these dragons he would be especially protective of them, maybe a little too overprotective to the point of being a helicopter brother.

Out of all the dragons, Shui Huying is Azure's best and closest friend along with Elpis Astraea. Out of the younger dragons, Azure has the most respect for Mercurial Hunter and would often times be seen hunting with the other to provide for the brood. He also the only one to find Ridenti Flamme's trickster antics to be amusing.
