Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Spastic, contradictory to his name, is actually a very calm and relaxed dragon. He likes to contemplate life's greatest questions at random moments often losing himself and spacing out in the middle of conversations and activities.

There is a single time and moment, however, when Spastic will live up to his name. That is when his caretaker returns early in the morning from her gardening, smelling of dragonnip. Simply by the faint scent, this black male becomes a whirlwind of claws, talons and wings, leaping from place to place hyper with vast amounts of energy and excitement. His caretaker often has to burn her clothes outside for fear Spastic will cause the cave to collapse.
