Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Frilled Dragons are smaller than most other breeds, but when threatened, they stretch out their wings and frills to appear larger. They generally do not like to fight and prefer hiding to confrontation. Frilled dragons live in small groups and often band together to scare off potential threats. Males also use their frills as a way to attract mates, with those displaying the “best” frills being more likely to breed.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
One of the last of the frilled dragons, victims of a strange degenerative disease that robbed them of their ability to breed, Kendlar'hh stays close to his mate Xaana and what few children they had before they, too, because victims. While the dragon keeper Lorraine and assorted dragon enthusiasts study his and his offsprings' blood in an attempt to find a cure, Kendlar'hh's only solace is in knowing that they had children while they could, which not every frill can say.
While it gives him solace, it gives him no hope. Though he is too ashamed to let his mate know, Kendlar'hh often folds his frills to hide the orange and pretends to be some other green, hoping secretly that the mysterious disease only affects female frills and that some other dragon will be able to give him children once again.
He has no idea that Xaana does the same.
