Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

In dark times dragons of this clan told their hatchlings bedtime stories of a curious Magi. Long ago there was a great war between breeds known as Ember Dragons, and Vine dragons. Every night the Ember Dragons would fly and scorch the grounds that the Vine drakes would build, and every day the Vines would rebuild it. Until one night where their leader, a Thuwed, burned through several layers of earth which disturbed both Vine and Earth dragons. There were many lives taken, but worse off was the earth in the damaged area couldn't be repaired. Thousands of years went by, White dragons, Magis and Black dragons worked together to help undo the damage, but it wasn't enough. Xaxiem was a curious dragon that spent all his hours reading. Hearing the cries he came down from the clouds to show the dragons a spell, one which was new to all dragonkin. Together dragons of many breeds were able to repair the damage.  Xaxiem took a vow to help any dragon who would stand up to the Thuweds.
