Frostbite Dragons first appear at the beginning of winter, creeping in with the frosts. They have found their place in human lore as the spirits of snow, since they only reveal themselves during icy weather. In the depths of winter, they cover the world in blankets of snow and are believed to be responsible for the glittering frost that creeps over everything. Although they appear cold and distant, they are actually rather mischievous and enjoy spending time dancing through blizzards.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Donizetti and her friends play a game she calls "slide-stones-on-ice-to-a-target-for-points". (She's open to name changes.) The goal is for each team to get points by landing their cylindrical granite stones in the target at the end of an ice sheet. One person "delivers" the rock, and two others sweep the ice with brooms to alter the stone's speed and path. No magic is allowed. Donizetti is the best strategist and therefore team captain. She is also responsible for creating the ice sheet before a match. There's not much competition or interested parties in this sport, unfortunately. Several dragons have expressed that slide-stones is a silly game, and a few grumble that magic shouldn't be prohibited, since it'd make the game much easier. They also say the equipment is too hard to get. Donizetti scoffs at all these excuses. "Those magic users who can't handle physical tasks are weak and cowardly," she would say. It seems no one has the stones to compete with them.
