Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Adolescence is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Once they hit adolescence, hatchlings change quickly, maturing to their full forms in only 2 years.
Dragons don’t communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.
Silver dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male silver dragons hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.
Coursing with nearly feminine beauty, McCartney's Wish is a dragon to behold. His wide pale blue eyes glitter like gems and his scales shimmer with such luster that they are unmatched by any other dragon in the cave. However, he is seen so very rarely that if any dragon happens to catch glimpse of him, he will cry, "It's the lustrous one! Make a wish!" He tucks away amidst the clouds or hides upon a hill out of sight and out of mind. The only other dragons who see much of him are his close companions Linda's Legacy and Lennon's Luck.
