Black Tea Dragons have small scent glands on the underside of their wing arm that release a pleasant scent. Though many creatures enjoy being in the vicinity of Black Tea dragons, the scent is intended to draw in swarms of butterflies. Though Black Tea dragons are full sized dragons, these insects are the mainstay of their diet.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sakauma hails from the desert region but recently moved into to the coastal mixed-dragon clan under the Pillow Monarch, when juvenile Black Tea Dragons she lived with decided to play with fire in the village square and ended up burning down the entire human village her species have helped farm for generations. She's still quite bitter over it, muttering about how reckless youngsters are these days and even sits in a small patch of land near where the hatchlings play and yells at them to, "get off her grass," while she attracts butterflies to feed on... which in turn attracts the curious and playful hatchlings who do not get off her grass.
