Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It gives off a glow that lights up the cave.

Look, it’s grown frills, and the glow around it has become even brighter.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Riley is what one would call insane with a touch of crazy. At young hatchling stage, she began to hear voices converse in her head and somehow became dependent on their words to guide her. She's also been known to claim to see things others can't, and behave younger than her age due to her appearance.

In no way is she violent, but in fear of an outburst, a spell was cast on her by the clan's healer Orpheus, to ensure she would stay young forever. Thanks to Riley's child-like ignorance, she still hasn't noticed.

Though, regardless of her mentality, Riley has earned a special place in the hearts of all the clan members—and by irony alone is named after the clan's human.
