Avatars of Change are unpredictable, exuberant dragons whose unique connection to magic has saturated their entire bodies. It is said that possessing one of their iridescent scales can change one’s fate, and many have sought the favor of these dragons hoping to receive a scale as a gift.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Uniquely attuned to high-potency magic, Belhala Servenos is the friend to a number of highly powerful dragons, primarily Aeon Wyverns. She is attracted to these dragons because of their ability to change and detect changes in the environment, and often, she substitutes for them when their magic would be impractical. Like with Aeon Wyverns: when humans seek them out to tell the future, Belhala often appears in their place, granting her scales to humans so her friends won't be hunted and suffer. Her extreme frequency to appear has lead to many shrines dedicated in her honor, with some legends even saying Aeon Wyverns are her messengers on the mortal plane.
