White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Cain is frequently frustrated with himself. His skills simply aren't up to par with the rest of the healers in his clan, and even hatchlings have been known to surpass his abilities. It takes him months to learn a new spell to even passable condition, though he slaves over his study and practice. It doesn't help that he simply doesn't enjoy learning or performing spells—he's happier in the forest, wandering in and out of the golden sunshine streaming through the trees. More and more often, that's exactly where you'll find him, as he feels that his reputation as a healer is laughable and that learning any new spells is a hopelessly impossible task.
