Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Laluno has always been attracted to the moon. His best friend is a sunstone dragon named Nitrosesana. They have always had a theory that they can use the moon to attract other moonstone dragons, and the sun to attract sunstone dragons. Once a week when his tail orb glows, he sets off to a place in the night sky to meet other moonstone dragons, hoping to find a mate, but even though he does see lots of his species, he can never meet the right dragon. He started an organization where every full moon, moonstone dragons meet at a spot in the sky just to mingle. He hopes that his theory and his organization spread around until every moonstone accepts it.
