Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

A mastermind. A genius. Completely insane. This is how one could describe GLaDOS. Upon her arrival in the cave, the Stripe took no heed of the hierarchy, and began to take command of several dragons to aid her in her favorite work- creating puzzles. They began simply enough, mostly for hatchlings to practice their flight skills, but it soon evolved into often deadly tests of logic, physical endurance, and how far a dragon was willing to go to survive. She does not seem troubled when a participant is severely wounded or killed, she simply moves on to the next one. She is adept at verbal threats, lying- usually about some sort of treat- and completely nonsensical things to throw a participant off guard. GLaDOS has gathered several helpers for these- The Portal pair, who are allowed to give a dragon a leg up if needed; the Turrets, who rain pebbles onto participants; the silent Cubes who provide company and counterweight; and a subject she both hates and loves, in a way- Chell.
