Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Silver females eat meat only when a male dragon brings it to them as part of courtship, though they are typically highly-independent. They possess an almost magical aura that lights up any place they are in, and are looked upon with awe by humans and animals alike.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Istelen Uruloki Dorkface was once one of the most radiant Silvers on earth and suitors vied for her favor. Now, her scales have lost their luster and she seldom ventures out from the cave where she lives with her clan.

Istelen had sworn to never take a mate, but one day a Split came and began to seek her attention. She turned him away, like she had all the other suitors, yet he continued to pursue her. Gradually, through his persistence, the ice around her heart began to thaw and she fell in love.

They flew away to an abandoned cave where they could be together and brought a miracle into the world - the first hatchling to ever result from a Split-Silver union, a Split son that they named Silmarillion Uruloki Dorkface. But then the other dragons came in the night to take her back to her clan, tearing her away from her husband, calling their love an abomination, and taking her son from her. And so she fell into darkness, consumed by her sorrow, her beauty irrevocably marred by grief.
