Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Fern Tree Gully's Guardian guards all of the forest in Fern Tree Gully and the Dandenong Ranges. While Dandenong's guardian protects the mountain, she lives deep in one of the many caves in the forest, only coming out when needed to stop humans from cutting it down. It is said that those humans who have tried never returned from Fern Tree Gully.
