Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Ever since it hatched, it has been hiding among the tree leaves.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

An experiment that went horribly wrong which was supposed to turn the dragon into another breed, left the hatchling unable to grow wings or even become an adult. The poor thing would mope around because it did not know what gender it was and knew it could never become an adult. It always called itself a fail because of the horrible experiment that ruined its life. The other dragons tried to cheer it up and show it love, but it was still sad. But it began brightening up and became happier than it was, which was a huge improvement.
