White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Althea is the most powerful healer of her clan, and possibly the most affectionate. She has a strong bond with her master just as her older sister, Selma. Like Selma, she spends most of her time with the hatchlings, and she and Selma switch "guard duty" every other day or so so that the other can have a chance to find something to eat. She yearns for hatchlings of her own, but currently is searching for the perfect dragon to be her mate. That's half the reason she watches over her master's hatchlings-- to fill the void.
