Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Black Sheppard joined Lilltle Vi's band of frozen hatchies as soon as he got old enough to sneak away from his mother. He enjoys plying around tuffle with the other hatchlings and discovering secrets.

He's best friends with Black Babysitter and follows him around almost constantly. Only sometimes his friend sneaks off and Sheppard has the suspicion, that Black Babysitter is keeping a secret from him—but he won't be keeping it forever Sheppard is sure.
