Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Weather was one of the first dragons of the flock. When she was a hatchling, she would run after the other hatchlings as they played, even though her body was much to heavy, her legs far too short. When she was a young adult, after her siblings had flown off to test their newly developed wings, she tried to fly after them off the mountaintop, only to come crashing to the ground, breaking both her back legs. It took nearly a day for Crystal and the three dragons to drag her back up the mountainside, and her legs never completely healed. After that she managed to settle down, take a mate, look after the eggs and hatchlings and became a steady, warm presence in the cave. Her old clutch mates are the only ones who seem to see the longing in her eyes when she looks out of the cave, into the distance.
