Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Dreamer prides himself of an ancestry so legendary that its details have been lost in the fog of time—or maybe the fogs of his daydreams.

Feeling very lonely, Dreamer tried to find other dragons, but had to realize that all the adults he met shunned him for some reason. However, one day, he found an abandoned dragon egg and took it in to raise the little dragon trapped inside. That's how his clan was started, and how it still continues to grow.

Being the oldest dragon of Clan Olympus, he was its natural leader. However, Dreamer spends a lot of his time daydreaming, and as his clan grew, it became obvious that he was unable to take care of the day to day matters of his clan. Being absentminded yet insightful, Dreamer decided to leave the the leadership of his clan in more capable claws than his and abdicated. To this day, he is still regarded as one of the most knowledgeable dragons of his clan, and many others refer to him by the honorary title of "Elder of Elders".
