Ochredrakes are a curious species with a wide array of mutations and interesting behaviors. Not as intelligent as normal dragons, they only breed with other drake species. While they may not be bright, ochredrakes are flamboyant and fun-loving with amazing, chirping voices to sing with, and tame readily in the presence of a gentle hand.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

Unlike most Ochredrakes, young Dani'el was born to study.  Always the fastest to learn a new song, he loved the oldest songs and the ancients stories they told even more, pestering his elders with questions they couldn't answer. He heard the stories of Mentha Verdant who wanted to build a school where hatchlings could learn music and history as they grow. When his best friend wanted to follow Mentha as well, just for the adventure, O'Neill finally talked Dani'el into it by convincing him that he would be a great teacher for the school that Mentha was building.  Finding more adventure than he wanted along the way, Dani'el was glad when they finally arrived in Verdant. He found O'Neill was right about his abilities as a teacher, for Mentha Verdant immediately welcomed him to the school, which he found full of kindred spirits. Always continuing his own study, he finally found that he was the one who could answer all the obscure questions of his youth. At least, until he met Sha're!
