Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

All of the dragons in the cave take the name of their fathers or mothers depending on their gender. However, Gaiven is different. This fearsome male has refused to take his father's name. This isn't out of spite or anger. It is simply because Lord Itagual isn't Gaiven's real father. Gaiven's mother is a widow due to the last great war. Gaiven was born soon after his father's death and has been raised by his mother and her new mate. Itagual and Gaiven have the utmost respect for each other and their relationship. Like his stepfather, Gaiven is a warrior and is charged with defending the clan's territory during war or conflict. When he isn't practicing his fighting skills, he is sunbathing with is friend Tythus.
