It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Snakefang is a feisty female, worthy of any color male's attention. She is lean and strong, sharp as an arrow's point in both mind and body. She earned her name at her own hatching day when she and her sister were attacked as they cracked their shells to breathe fresh air for the first time. Their mother had been out hunting, so couldn't protect her young from the serpent that awaited their birth so it could feed that day. Upon the attack, the eldest hatchling immediately got into a horrid tussle with the adder, and ended up snapping one of its fangs off in the fight before it slithered away, defeated. She bears her namesake proudly; the tooth hangs about her neck on a bewitched string that will never break.

...When the fang had been torn from the snake's jaw, it had flown through the air and imbedded itself in her sister's soft shell. The little bit of leftover venom had seeped through into the hatching dragon's skin, creating unwanted results.
