Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Unlike the other hatchlings, this one hatched with wings.

And look! Its back legs have become a second set of wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Ni-ju tsubasa can't stop flying. She is always in the air with her adoptive mother Sora no sukima. They soar among the clouds and birds together. She does not know her birth mother because she was abandoned as an egg; luckily Sora was kind enough to take little Ni-ju under her wings.

Her name means double wings.
