Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Fru is an inquisitive dragon who wishes to see the world and learn everything about it. Unfortunately she has learned that leaving the cave is a very bad idea; the last time she did leave, a young dragon tried to eat her. She escaped but part of her left wing was eaten. So while Fru finds living in the cave boring, she stays because at least the dragons of the clan will not eat her. Fru's favourite pasttime is talking with Balkanog the Paper dragon and with some of the smaller dragons who nest on the same ledge she calls home. She cannot remember who made her, but Balkanog swears they are siblings created by the same magician.
