Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its skin is smooth and doesn’t seem to have any color to it.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Mister Cellophane is a eternally young dragon who knows that his coloring, or lack thereof makes him easy to miss or ignore.  This means that often he can be found performing some mischief with the other eternally young dragons of his cave and when caught may be the only one who avoids punishment from the older dragons.  As an added bit of fun he enjoys sneaking up on the other dragons and unleashing his shrieking call in their ear then running while they recover.
