Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Skavro is a remarkably unambitious vampire dragon.  He has no interest in ruling the world, or even in collecting a flock of loyal minions, and prefers to leave the biting of eggs to those with an interest in raising the resulting offspring.  Skavro even refuses to feed on the local dragons, choosing instead to get his meals from deer and other wildlife.  On the rare occasions when he encounters a dragon who refuses to believe his claims of harmlessness, Skavro will set the would-be victim some simple task to complete, so that they will feel they've earned their freedom.  Despite his best efforts, he's managed to attract followers from time to time—those who believe he does have some plan to rule the world (or at least his own weyr) and want some share of the glory or those who simply seek protection or a share of his kills.  Most give up eventually, but three have been following him around for years with no sign of moving on.
