Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

In the temple of a far-off land, one might come across this dragon, happily snoozing. Laughing children will tumble and clamber across his back and paws, and adults will chat happily nearby, but he'll never so much as part an eyelid--unless directly addressed, that is. For every now and then a stern-faced young youth or bedraggled hero will trudge in, setting a silence across the temple as they address the golden giant.

"I seek the help of Felicis. The hero of old, the Lucky Saint."

"Sorry fella, you must have the wrong dragon. All I do is sleep and eat." The gold replies. And no amount of insisting or pointing at pictures in old tomes that perfectly match his appearance will convince him otherwise.

And yet, when night falls and the temple empties, up he'll stir, and out he'll go, and inevitably the noble souls who approached him will triumph over evil. For even if he's happy with a life of peaceful feigned senility, he's a hero still, and will grant his luck to those who need it.
