Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Losing his daughter, Tsubashi, to the Lag Monster was one of the hardest things Tuoni had ever witness. Watching his mate, Macha, fade away, even after Tsu was revived made it worse. After the strain of holding everything together while his daughter closed herself off and his mate hurting, he decided that a vacation was the best situation for his family, especially to give the two females in his life some distance from each other and allow old wounds to heal. After dragging Macha away on vacation, the two of them sent Tsubashi three more siblings to care for, stopping home every few months to check on their children before going of again. He's unsure how long the vacation would last, but he's determined to enjoy every second of it.
