Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is very active and playful.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This hatchling has always been as dumb as dirt. He always likes to roll around in dirt, as well. He has never had any friends, due to everyone hating him because of his inability to do literally anything right. He cannot even walk right, as he thinks the right way to walk is by holding his two left legs up and only using the two right ones. Thus, he falls over a lot. He is often the victim of many awful rumors, like the one that he eats sewer rats, or worse, that he dances on dead hatchlings' graves.

One more cruel punishment from Dragon God was what happened a few months ago, when Arcamia, the magi, was asleep in the midst of a fever. Unfortunately, the hatchling was sleeping in the same group as her when she sneezed in the middle of the night, inadvertently casting a spell that forced him to remain as a hatchling forever.

He is very sad all the time.
