Pink Dragons are primarily herbivores and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan’s young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Sabrepulse is easily embarrassed, especially when it concerns his purebred pedigree. On top of that he's frequently being called cute for his embarrassment, something that would usually boost his ego but just ends up embarrassing him even more. Though, when he's in a good mood he'll sometimes let the compliments get to him and gets a rush of supreme righteousness, usually ending in him swooping in and moving eggs and hatchlings out of harm's way. That being said, harm's way is occasionally their mother or a slightly intimidating tree. He does an actually good deed sometimes, such as saving a tiny pygmy from a hungry spotted greenwing. Then there will be tales of an incredible pink devil saving a child from an exaggerated death and for some reason the name stuck, leaving him with his friends teasing him, such as Fancifill sarcastically calling him "the Glorious Pink Devil" in idle conversation and Bibzt practically swooning over him.
