White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kai's magic is hardly that of strong healing, his magic is actually that of growth. Like all white dragons he was quite capable of studying to heal, but due to his past, decided to work with helping others grow up, as death before maturation is the most common form of death in young dragons. Born in a clutch of four dragons, he was the only survivor, his actual survival was due to the intervention of another white dragon named Aryphina. His memories of the experience are definitively foggy, and he prefers not to talk about it. Anti-social, Kai likes to use sarcasm and other cheap wit, but is really quite sweet-hearted, especially towards hatchlings and eggs.
